Large Fall Garden and House Flags

Large autumn flags give you the impact you want without fighting wind or looking undersized on a standard pole. Most of our fall garden flags measure 12x18 inches, while our large house flags run 28x40 inches. Both sizes are double-sided, so your design reads correctly from either direction. Double-Sided Fall House Flags

A 28x40 house flag is the standard size for residential poles and porch brackets. Double-sided construction ensures the design is clearly visible whether you're viewing from the street or the yard. Our fall house flags feature pumpkins, leaves, harvest scenes, and word-based designs like "Thankful" or "Welcome Fall."

Garden Flag Sizes and Display

Standard fall garden flags are 12 x 18 inches. That's large enough to read from the curb but small enough to fit a tabletop garden flag stand. A few designs come in 18x12 (horizontal orientation) for variety. Both work with the same garden flag pole.

Garden flags sit lower to the ground than house flags, so they're ideal for flower beds, walkways, and front porches. Pair one with a wind spinner for a layered fall display. Add a flag to your wishlist if you're shopping early or waiting for a sale, but most customers order and receive their items within 3 days.

What Size Flag for High Wind

A 3x5 ft flag is big but manageable in moderate wind. A 4x6 flag is noticeably larger and catches more force, so it's better suited for commercial poles or areas with consistent wind protection. A 5x8 flag is considered oversized for residential use unless you have a 25-foot pole and open space. For home display, stick with 3x5 or smaller.

If you're flying an America Forever flag or any large nylon flag in high wind, look for sewn stripes and reinforced stitching. Printed flags are lighter but tear faster. We stock both types depending on the design and manufacturer.

Really Big Flags and Custom Sizes

Flags over 10x15 feet are called garrison flags or storm flags, depending on use. A 3,200-square-foot flag would measure roughly 50 x 64 feet and cost several thousand dollars. Those aren't stocked items. We focus on residential sizes: garden flags, house flags, and 3x5 to 5x8 nylon flags for standard poles.
